The problem with marketing automation is that it is often used for the wrong purpose. Instead of marketing to get your existing customers who already have a lot of information on their websites and want to use it, it is often used to market to the wrong people. For example, if your website is a travel site, don’t use marketing automation to direct your customers to your airline. Instead, use marketing automation to drive actual brand awareness.
