For many of us, the idea of negotiating deals in the real world is a frightening prospect. We know that all of us who have tried it have felt the fear of failure and been left feeling down.

I think this is because we’ve all experienced that feeling before. In fact, one of the best ways to make it through negotiation is to be able to deal with fear in a way that doesn’t involve your face turning green and your mouth drooling. Deal velocity is a system that helps people do just that.

Because people are lazy, it’s very easy for us to make deals in the moment. And we often make them with the best of intentions. But when we make deals without thinking through the consequences of the deal or making a clear strategy, then they can quickly become deals that aren’t good for us.

When we make deals with strangers in the mall, we often ignore the consequences of the deal or the strategy we’re using. But that’s okay, because we’ll get what we need and we wont have to deal with the consequences of our actions. Just like we get what we want and never have to deal with the consequences of our actions.

In short, deal velocity is the concept that when we make a deal, it should have the opposite of deal velocity. Deals that are too close to deal velocity, or deals that are bad for us, should be avoided at all cost. Deal velocity is when we plan, and use the right strategies to get what we want when we want it. When we plan ahead and take the necessary steps to get what we want, then we are dealing with deal velocity.

For any deal that is too close to deal velocity, we should make sure it’s right for us. In this case, the “right” thing to do is to simply avoid the deal altogether. As it turns out, the deal Velocity team made a deal with the Devil that ended in a good way, so we should avoid the deal as being a bad thing and instead focus on the deal as it is.
