I have found this to be one of the best ways to keep up with friends and find new ones. Just click on the “find private groups” icon on Facebook and you will be taken to a page that will show you all the groups you could be in.

I feel this is a much better way to find friends, since it will show you all the groups you are in and what groups you might want to join. If someone asks you to join a group, you can click on the group I want to be in to see it all.
