The same thing goes for telemarketing. The reason the salespeople don’t just ask customers to stop what they’re doing and give them the item you’re selling is because of how the internet works. People don’t want to leave their email address with a salesperson, because they know that if the salesperson stops whatever they’re doing and tells them the name of the item, they will then buy it. Or so they think.

The internet works the same way. It works by using a web browser or a mobile phone to access the internet. This is to help us “look” up stuff, but it also means that there is no way to really check out what a product is like. The item you are trying to find out about in order to buy it is usually stored on other sites, and this makes it impossible to actually verify if what you are looking at is what you want.

This is where the mail order selling, catalog sales, and telemarketing models come in. They are the best ways to sell things online. They are all examples of using the internet to make a sale, but they are all different.
