Just like the people that are the retail merchants, you and I can’t control what we purchase. We can only choose if we want to buy the product from the merchant that sells it, or from the store that sells it.

If you want to buy something that costs $10, you may just have to drive down to the gas station and ask for a $5 off discount. If you want something that cost $500, you may have to walk 10 miles, get your driver’s license, and ask a real customer service person to take a $500 bill off your tab.

This is called the “market” in retail, and is one of the reasons you can never really “win” the market. The best way to “win” the marketplace is to buy things that cost a lot of money.

There are two kinds of merchants: the ones who will give you 5% off the price of whatever you buy, and the ones who will give you a 3% off discount on the total sale price. The merchants who give you 5% off will be called ‘Discount Merchants’, and they are the ones that you should really be targeting.

Discount Merchants are a dime a dozen. They might not have their own websites, but they’re just as likely as any other company to have a website in which they don’t sell. But they do sell things, and they buy things, and they pay you a 5-cent commission if you buy something they sell or use their inventory.

Merchants are a great place to buy things, because you can find things for very cheap. And they often buy more than you can use, so you get to keep more of the stuff you buy.
