When people talk about promotions, there are a lot of myths about them that can easily get confused with actual promotions.

The most common myths about promotions are that they are a form of payola or that they will make your resume shine. Neither is the case at all. As I mentioned earlier, a promotion is a contract awarded to one of your employees, usually for a set amount of time, to help the company gain some ground in their competition. Promotions are actually one of the few ways that you can get paid for work that is not directly related to a specific project. Most companies that are not directly involved with the development of a project don’t pay people to promote their company. Instead, they pay people to take care of specific tasks, such as working on a project’s website or recruiting an intern.

The main reason we don’t pay people to promote our company is because we don’t want to see it get into the same trouble as other companies that promote their products. We don’t want people who only work on projects that they don’t like getting paid to promote your company.

I wouldnt go so far as to say that the promotion mix is the same for every company. I dont think this is true for every company for the simple reason that I think no one is going to promote their company to the public simply because they want to. But I do think everyone should know the promotion mix and to be aware of any potential issues that come up.
